Our Mission
Missio Dei is a latin theological term that means the “sending of God”. The term highlights the truth that mission is birthed from the trinitarian nature of God. God the Father sent God the Son, Jesus Christ (John 12:45,49;16:5). God the Father and Son sent God the Spirit (John 15:26;14:16,26). Now, God the Father, Son and Spirit send the church (John 17:18;20:21). Missio Dei Church exists because we believe that God is on mission by the power of His Spirit, to rescue and redeem His people, transforming us into the image of His Son, so that culture begins to take on the image of the His Kingdom.
Our Values
God…We value the enjoyment of Jesus Christ throughout every action in life. (Duet. 6:4-7; 1 Cor. 10:31; Col. 3:17)
People…We value people as the most valuable aspect of Creation, far surpassing the importance of traditions, institutions, or programs. (Gen. 1:26-27; Mark 7:5-8; 1 John 4:19)
World…We value the community of faith around the world and throughout history as God’s primary way of revealing himself to people. (Gen. 12:1-3; Matt. 28:18-20; 2 Cor. 5:20)
Culture…We value culture as redeemable because every aspect of every culture contains elements of the beauty and harmony of Creation, as well as the perversion of the Fall. (Matt. 7:9-11; Phil. 4:8; Rev. 21:23-27)
Community…We value small groups as the unique places where people can share life openly and honestly using their abilities to encourage one another to love, good deeds, and to delight in Christ. (Mark 2:15-17; Acts 2:42-47; Eph. 4:15-16)
Lifestyle…We value holy living demonstrated by internal character that is motivated by a love for God and people. (Is. 1:11-17; Matt. 22:36-40; Gal. 5:16-24)
