We believe that a right understanding of the Gospel of Christ necessarily leads us to mission. This takes on various forms for us individually and corporately. Below are ongoing projects with which Missio Dei is heavily involved as a congregation:
HALL FLETCHER PROJECT:
Missio Dei Church delights in serving the people of our city with no strings attached. We believe we have a biblical responsibility to ‘seek the welfare of the city’ in which we live (Jer. 29:7). Currently, much of our efforts are going into a partnership with Hall Fletcher Elementary School in West Asheville. We are seeking a long-term relationship with the students, parents, and faculty that will lead to long-term impact and renewal. So far, we have been able to serve the school through school supply drives, campus workdays, mentoring, classroom assistance, tutoring, and this Spring, we’ll be participating in their community garden project. For more information about the Hall Fletcher Project, or how you can get involved, email Lorrie Bernard, email hidden; JavaScript is required.
